In the past two episodes another female student named Aoi Muto was introduced, rounding out professor Itsuki’s group to three gals and three guys. Apparently Muto is called “Miss Agriculture” because she is one of the most beautiful girls in the school. Personally though, I think Oikawa is better looking. Anyways, Moyashimon is essentially slice-of-life of students in an agricultural university, so it is a fairly laid-back show. The show continues to reveal miscellaneous facts of microbiology whenever it has the chance. Although Sawaki’s ability to see microbes was initially Moyashimon’s focus, his power has gradually taken a backseat to humor in these past couple of episodes. This change is fine by me considering episode seven had many laughs, and is the funniest episode in the series yet. Who would have thought professor Itsuki was such a wily pervert who conducts “experiments” with middle aged women using his aphrodisiacs? For the sake of science I guess…
