There are two plots developing in Persona Trinity Soul. Ryou’s clandestine treatment of all persona related incidents, a lower ranking cop’s search for the truth, a girl that enigmatically appears and disappears leaving traces of feathers, a group of persona users stealing other personas; these are all signs of a complex story involving the main essence of the anime. The second narrative is centered on the Kanzato family; the effects of Ryou’s coldness, their ill illuminated past. Persona Trinity Soul is created with missing details and symbolism that foster speculation and intrigue. These are traits of a good mystery. After four episodes I see there is potential in this show, so despite my reservations, I will follow this series.
