Hyouka after episode 9

Having greatly enjoyed past detective and mystery anime such as Gosick, Kamisama no Memochou, and Another, I have chosen Hyouka in lieu of the teasing but unsatisfying Dusk Maiden of Amnesia that I abandoned a month ago. Hyouka feels slice-of-life, but yet it has an episodic detective-like anecdotes that hooks my interest beyond the seemly banal characters. What I am really impressed is the animation quality. Always crisp, character models and faces are never deformed, and fluid panning and focusing shots. As one would expect, I suppose, with Kyoto Animation behind the production.
