Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita after episode 12 – Final Thoughts

What a most curious anime this has been. I must praise Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita for offering more than just randomness and capricious humour, but inserted some rather mature themes in some of its episodes, yet without ruining its overall whimsical atmosphere. Despite unsavory topics such as loneliness and bullying, it was never too much to leave a depressing impression. I am, however, a little unsatisfied that the anime never really shone much light on the hows and whys of its setting. But I suppose, that is the crux of its mysterious charm. Regardless, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita is the strongest contender for my favorite anime of this year. I wouldn’t mind a fairy plushy or figure on my bookshelf. They are ridiculously adorable.
